Week 22/Day 155 - The Laughing Buddha (Hotei)

If you ever come to my MIL's place, the first you will see is this man called Hotei (in Chinese).. he has a story behind his very existence. Here it goes -

"Chinese Call him Hotei and we call him "The Laughing Buddha". He is believed to have existed in China as a real Buddhist monk China over 1,000 years ago. Hotei, being a cheerful, contented Buddhist monk, is a wonderful little icon; where just the appearance can have the ability to cheer anyone up from a bad day. His largely exposed potbelly stomach protrudes in front of him as you almost hear the belly laughter emerging from the idol."..

May this laughing man spread his cheerfulness in each one of our lives. :-)
