Day 15/365 | Kanuma

Today is third and final day of Sankranthi festival and it is celebrated as Kanuma. Its the day when the farmers thank the cows, bulls and other animals who helped for their crop harvest. Ideally the animals are decorated with marigold flowers on this day, but since we don't own any cattle, I used the flowers to decorate our house. :-)

Day 14/365 | Happy Sankranthi ~ Its Rangoli Time!

After almost 7 years, I tried my hand at some rangoli this year for Sankranthi. :-) It was lots of fun sans the effort it took me to do this all alone, in shivering cold. Brrr!

Wishing you all a very Happy and Prosperous Pongal!

Day 12/365 | Garden Log ~ Spinach (Palak) Shoots

One thing is for sure - growing your own food gives us an immense pleasure which is pretty hard to put in words. Mere a month ago, these were just tiny little seeds and now spinach shoots. Once they pop up a little, the first thing I am gonna make is a simple spinach dal! Yay!

Day 11/365 | a million dollar smile..

Its my mom and my two adorable uncles..
*photographed using iphone 4S*

..this is an old photograph, taken almost 2 months ago and I still remember how much effort it took on our part to make my mom smile as the stress we, as a family were going through was just unimaginable. Whenever I am low, one look at it gives strength and makes me think ~ Tomorrow is going to be better than today and this too shall pass. :-)

Day 9/365 | Unfinished Business..

Usually whichever book I start to read, I tend to finish it. But not this time. I just couldn't get myself to finish this book because of its rather dull, repetitive plot and a creepy protagonist.

If you are on Goodreads, do check my bookshelves over there.

Day 8/365 | Garden Log ~ Morning Glory

Looking at flowers early in the morning makes me really really happy. These morning glory flowers are from our roof top garden that me and Srini are currently working on, one-plant-a-day!. Aren't they just beautiful and soothing to look at. :-)

P.S - There are about 20 different photographs of flowers on this website, from different parts of the world...and there are more coming your way all through the year! Hope you are not bored yet. ;-)

Day 1/365 | Starting Project 365, yet again!

*photographed using Iphone 4S*

It has been almost an year when I last attempted to do a Project 365. Every day of the year 2011 was captured through a picture and was shared with you all here, on this blog.

I am gonna do this again! Please wish me all luck and I hope you will follow along as I tread through this photo journey, a day at a time!

To start with, here is a shot of a rose petal mocktail I drank last night at a restaurant Tansen here in Hyderabad.
