Did you know "The Too-Many-Passions Problem" is a real thing? I didn't. It is something I am suffering from since past few months. If you closely look at my IG feed, there is no focus on anything particular as I dabble around on a variety of things in my limited free time. The result: an unending list of art projects with no sense of satisfaction. That's why I took a pause and asked myself - What am I really passionate about? Is there only ONE THING I would love to explore/learn the most? The answer - "Doodling & Lettering". I love the creative practice involved and bite-sized happiness I feel at the end. To keep myself accountable to a daily doodling/lettering practice, I am jumping on to the #The100DayProject bandwagon with my #100DaysOfDoodles.
What is 100-day-project? Started by @elleluna, the 100-day-project is like a celebration of process that encourages everyone to participate in 100 days of 'making'. The great surrender is the process; showing up day after day is the goal. For the 100-Day Project, it’s not about fetishizing finished products—it’s about the process. I have to remember: This project is for ME. I am starting it because I want to learn a new skill; because I crave exploration; because I want an escape from a daily mundane life, to a place of creativity. I am so curious to see where this journey takes me. Nothing else will take precedence as it is time to focus on honing one skill - doodling.
